In 2016, I began work at The Observer newspaper in La Grande, Oregon as a sportswriter. I helped cover nine high schools in Union and Wallowa counties. Whether it was football, basketball, soccer, swimming, cross country, or volleyball — there was a good chance I was there talking to a coach or player for a story. Below you will find a sample of feature stories and game recaps I produced during my time at The Observer
